First a bit of quick news: Tonnie R won the Baker Creek Seed giveaway. Congrats Tonnie; have fun picking out your seeds and planting them! If you were not the lucky winner then you can still get your seeds here:Baker Creek Heirloom Seeds You’ll have to pay for them though;)

Here at Bloom Where You’re Planted we are super busy with Spring planting and Spring projects. Here in Dallas Texas we have a short beautiful Spring followed by hot and then followed by hotter than hell. Not complaining here, just say’in that everything has to be smished into this little glorious window.

We are eating out of our garden again! Those greens taste sooo good. We are eating lettuce, cilantro, chives, swiss chard, beets and just starting to get kale and spinach. Yum!

Tomatoes and Basil are in the ground, but we stand ready, with plastic milk cartons, to protect them from a late freeze if needed. See my article about how to be successful with tomatoes here: It’s Tomato Time in North Texas! PPP is the Secret to Success!Peppers are potted up and growing. The forecast looks good, but we will wait a bit longer to get our squash and melons growing.

We have lots of baby rabbits and lots of projects in the wings. I will let you in on our projects in another post. Right now we are so busy that I am going to post the latest videos to show you some of what we’ve been up to. Sometimes it is so much easier to show you than explain it in writing!

Enjoy: Best bee video we have ever done! We got some amazing footage of the queen laying eggs. Learn what I think is the most important measurement when building a top bar bee hive.

Also it finally stopped raining so we got to plant our potatoes in 5 gallon buckets. If you don’t have room in your garden for potatoes, then this might be your answer!

I hope your Spring is warming up and you are getting your hands in the dirt again! Blessings, Dash
