I am excited to share with ya’ll the new winner crop for this Fall! New to me anyway. This is the first time I have grown Daikon Radishes and I am so glad I did!

Five things that make them a winner here at Bloom Where You’re Planted:

  1. come up easily by seed in the garden
  2. grow fast even in our cool, no hot, cool again, crazy Fall temps
  3. produce a lot of food
  4. rabbits love the green tops
  5. Taste amazing when roasted

Big shout out to Jess at Roots & Refuge Farm for telling me how good radishes taste when you roast them! Here is a link to her you tube channel. She Rocks! Roots and Refuge Farm

See this great root for yourself in our video. Come into my kitchen while I cook them up and try them for the first time!

Here is a link to Baker Creek Heirloom Seeds where I got my seed. I would definitely add it to your next seed order!

Please leave a comment. I love hearing from ya’ll.
